Here at the Encyclopedia Show, the Sagan is one of our favorite units of measurement! A SAGAN is equivalent to at least 4 billion stars, which is basically like a billion fewer than we’ll have on stage tonight…

if you count the ones in our eyes!

CYDNEY EDWARDS MEASURES UP!

She is a community activist, spoken-word performing artist, actress, and educator born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She recently graduated from the University of Madison-Wisconsin a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and First Wave Spoken Word & Urban Arts Learning Community. She is a two-time winner of Louder than a Bomb, the annual teen poetry slam competition in Chicago, and has performed amongst Amiri Baraka, Linton Kwesi Johnson, and Christopher Walker amongst various others.

Why a Baker’s Dozen is 13 Instead of 12 »

Wow! Encyclofriends, we did NOT know that bakers used to be so accidentally corrupt that kings had to make laws to make sure that we, consumers of baked goodness, got that 13th donut for perpetuity!

(Read that article and you’ll really think that they just left the “n” out of bankers, the corruption was that bad)
